Treatment Area

The Casualty Treatment Area is set aside from the Rescue Equipment area, this permits the provision of a clean, dry, warm and private area, allowing secure and confidential assessment and treatment of casualties. It contains equipment to provide treatment in the event of any emergency.

Amongst the equipment carried is Oxygen: Main tank supply in the vehicle and lightweight portable cylinders, Entonox® (pain relief gas), Variety of fracture splints and straps, Extrication Longboards and head blocks, Orthopaedic Scoop, Spinal Immobilisation Device, a variety of cervical spine collars, Vacuum Mattress, Pnu-Pac® Resuscitator, Laerdal® Aspirator, Pulse Oximeter, defibrillator, Watergel® Burns Kit, Intubation, Infusion & Chest Drainage equipment, First Aid Kit
