Ford Transit

The Rescue Ambulance is a 2013 specification Ford Transit long wheel base model, with a diesel engine. It has opposing side opening doors to facilitate a separate Rescue Equipment Area and Rescue Unit.

This permits rapid access to the Rescue and Extrication Equipment and helps to cut down on intrusion during treatment and increases casualty security and confidentiality and reduces the ingress of mud, rain etc. The Rescue Unit is heated by a separate Eberspacher® diesel fuelled heater and boasts patient monitoring equipment including pulse oximetery and defibrillation equipment.
